Report – Standard MSL School Report
Your Standard MSL School Report compares data from your institution to the national sample, which includes data from previous- and current-year MSL participants. Your institution will also be compared against four other groups. You may choose from:
Comparison Groups
Comparative Sample
Compare your random sample against the comparative sample.
Coalition
If you participated in a coalition, compare your results against the coalition’s collective data.
IPEDS Categories
Compare your institution against other schools with similar characteristics. The options are:
- Enrollment Size
- small, medium, large
- Carnegie Classification
- Associates, Baccalaureate, Masters, Doctoral/Research, Research (Very High)
- School Control
- Public, Private
- School Affiliation
- Religious, Secular
- Campus Setting
- Town, Rural, Suburban, City
- Barron’s Selectivity
- Non-competitive, Less competitive, Competitive, Very Competitive, Highly Competitive, Most Competitive
Schools are classified according to data from the US Department of Education Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and Barron's Profiles of American Colleges.
Custom Benchmark Group
If you are not part of a coalition but would like to compare your school against a specific group of institutions, you may create a Custom Benchmark Group for an additional fee. For more information, please see the Additional Reporting Services.
